Wow! What a weekend! We had an absolute blast filming Emily and Darrin's wedding last Saturday at Salishan Spa and Golf Resort on the Oregon coastline. They are two of the nicest and most genuine people we've had the pleasure of working with and they certainly know how to throw a major party!
Emily and Darrin's wedding was the debut of our Same Day Edit. Also known in the industry as the Wedding Day Edit, this is a short highlight montage stylistically edited as only Ambient Sky can on your wedding day within just a couple hours of being captured. This can also be added to your presentation of a photomontage and /or one of our Engagement Films. Then, we project it onto a big screen at your reception. Needless to say it was an absolute hit as the guests couldn't believe they were watching footage from earlier that day! The true payoff for us was Emily and Darrin as well as their family and friends telling us repeatedly how much they enjoyed it and how appreciative they were of our hard work.
Even though they planned the event themselves, they still hired two of the Portland's best Wedding Coordinators in Christie Wilson and Cindy Rosen from Blush Bridal Consultation Group to handle the day of coordination. As I've said here before, even if you want to plan your own wedding, you should at least consider hiring a professional to coordinate the day of... It will be less stressful for you and your family, I guarantee it. We also got to work with our good friend and photographer extraordinaire Kathryn Elsesser again. A special thank you to Rachael from Salishan as well for being so helpful and accommodating and even letting us use her office during the day.
